JAKARTA Fiat Professional recently introduced his latest innovation, TRIS, a three-wheeled electric trading vehicle that is ready to enliven the realm of micro mobility.

The name "TRIS" itself is inspired by its three wheels, modular design, and the composition of its three LED lights. The simplicity of the name ensures easy pronunciation in various languages, so that it can resonate with various global audiences.

With a 6.9 kWh battery, this small electric-powered truck marks Fiat's move into this exciting segment, manufactured in Morocco, the TRIS will be introduced in key markets throughout the MEA (Central East and African) region.

TRIS offers a range of up to 56 miles (about 90 km) and relatively fast charging, just hours of using a regular stop contact. This feature provides high flexibility for small businesses for efficient and environmentally friendly short-distance delivery.

This vehicle combines classic scooter-based three-wheeled trucks with the future technology of urban electric vehicles. With an overall length of only 10.4 feet (about 3.17 meters) and sufficient cargo space for standard Euro palettes, TRIS offers practical solutions for urban logistics needs.

Powered by a 12-cell motorbike, TRIS is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 28 mph (about 45 km/h). Although not designed for high speeds on expressways, this vehicle is ideal for commercial use in urban areas.

"Along with the growth of the city and the increasing need for clean and accessible transportation, we see an opportunity to offer something radically simple and very useful," said FIAT CEO Olivier Francois, quoted from global release Stellantis, Monday, May 26.

More than just ordinary commercial vehicles, TRIS has wide application potential. With a wide selection of special tubs and cargo containers so that they can be adapted to transport various kinds of goods, ranging from warm foods, frozen snacks, to live fish. This opens up significant market opportunities, not only in the Middle East and Africa, but also in Southern Europe where small commercial vehicles still play an important role.

Despite its compact size, TRIS does not sacrifice technology. This vehicle is equipped with a 5.7-inch digital instrument panel, LED headlights, integrated smart charging systems, and will connect with the Fiat Professional service, including vehicle tracking and fleet management software.
