Magelang Ahead of the peak of the 2569 BE Vesak Celebration, Monday, May 12 afternoon, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon conducted an inspection of the Borobudur Temple area, Magelang. Fadli Zon stressed that Borobudur must be developed as a center of world spirituality and culture, as well as a global pilgration destination for Buddhists.
"This Vesak celebration is a momentum to strengthen Borobudur's position as the center of world culture. In the future, we will discuss various cross-sectoral efforts to create a strong cultural ecosystem and have a real impact on people's welfare," he said.

During the visit, Fadli Zon also received a Vesak kirab flag from the Director General of Buddhist Guidance, Ministry of Religion, who previously led a procession from the Mendut Temple to Borobudur Temple.
