The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) cooperates with Tokopedia and TikTok Shop to launch the Ministry of Industry for the Famous High Speedlifting (Kalcer) program to support the growth of small and medium enterprises (IKM/MSMEs) through various initiatives to improve business skills and competitiveness.

Deputy Minister of Industry (Wamenperin) Faisol Riza said the launch of the program aims to support inclusive and sustainable national economic development through strengthening an independent and competitive industry.

"Through this initiative, we are trying to strengthen the use of domestic products by expanding the reach of local product use together with the Tokopedia market place and Tiktok Shop," said Faisol in a written statement, Thursday, June 19.

Through the use of domestic products, said Faisol, the community has contributed to job creation, encouraging economic growth and strengthening the foundations of the national industry.

"By increasing local product commodities, it is hoped that it will be able to create an expansion of market access for domestic industries," he said.

According to Faisol, the success of the Kalcer program also depends on the active role of all elements of society. The reason is, an active contribution is needed between industry players and consumers to create local products that are competitive, of superior quality and innovative.

"With collaboration between the government and the private sector, it is hoped that it will become a sustainable program and be able to strengthen the national industry," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry is currently reforming the procedures for calculating and issuing Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificates as a long-term effort by the government in strengthening national industries through increasing the use of domestic products.

Through these reforms, it is hoped that the TKDN policy implemented will be more adaptive, transparent and provide optimal benefits for domestic industry players.

"Through this step, the Ministry of Industry is optimistic that it can accelerate the independence of the national industry and strengthen the domestic manufacturing ecosystem," he concluded.
